Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort is an idyllic luxury resort in United Arab Emirates. It's a 5-star property with 180 guest rooms and suites along with 5 F&B outlets.
Provision served as the procurement consultant for FF&E and OS&E.
THE CHALLENGE
Provision was responsible for preparing a budget that reflected value engineering and guaranteed maximum cost saving.
Upon confirmation of the budget, there were several instances where the operator and the ID deviated from the stipulated brand specifications.
Delays in product selections by the operator also lead to significant setbacks. Additionally, sufficient funding for logistical and warehousing solutions was not provided. This created additional challenges for Provision to ensure minimal budget overruns.
OUR SOLUTION
Provision engaged in several workshops with the brand and the ID to review set standards and specifications. Both parties were consulted in order to attain the best product at the best price, within the allocated budget and time frame.
We also proposed suitable and spec-compliant alternates to every product that ID and/or the operator proposed. This ensured that all stakeholders in the project were satisfied.
